The World of Darkness is returning to comic-book shelves this November, with Titan Comics and White Wolf annoucing Vampire: The Masquerade - Wake in Hate, a new four-part miniseries based on the long-running tabletop roleplaying game.

Launching on 11th November 2026, Wake in Hate is written by John Lees (The Nasty, And Then Emily Was Gone) with artwork from veteran comic artist Tom Mandrake, whose extensive credits include Batman, The Spectre, Martian Manhuant, Swamp Thing and The Punisher. Mandrake also has a history with Vampire: The Masquerade having providing illustrations for the RPG over two decades ago.

The series tales place in Seattle, expanding on the setting of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Against a backdrop of protests and political turmoil, rumours begin circulating of bodies being discovered drained of blood. With suspicion growing that Kindred are using the unrest as a cover for feeding, and potentially threatening the Masquerade in the process, the city’s powers turn to Simeon “Silky” Ladock, the enigmatic owner of The Dutchman bar, to discover what is really happening. Silky previously appeared in Bloodlines 2.

When a city on edge becomes a feeding ground, one vampire is sent into the chaos to uncover what’s really hunting amidst the protests. In the shadows of a city on fire, the bloody feed on every screen has spilled into the streets.

Amidst the turmoil, whispers spread of bodies drained in the chaos, killings too precise to be human. When suspicion falls on vampires exploiting the unrest, the powers that be turn to Silky, enigmatic owner of The Dutchman bar, to uncover the truth.

Lees has said that Seattle and its recent history will be integral to the story, while editor Louis Yamani describes the series as combining supernatural horror with social commentary. Mandrake, meanwhile, says the creative team is developing new characters and new Vampire: The masquerade lore while also drawing upon the setting’s existing characters and history.

The first issue will be available with covers from Andrea Sorrentino, Seth Adams, Tom Mandrake, and Andrea Oliminpieri, with several variants and foil covers already alrvailable for preorder.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Wake in hate #1 arrives in comic shops on 11th November beginning a four issue run. A collected graphic noovel edition is scheduled to follow in Apriul 2027.
