(Crowdfund Quest) Chronicles of the Stellar Kingdom

The Polyhedral Knights are hoping to bring us a the sci-fi fantasy Chronicles of the Stellar Kingdom roleplaying game, along with three supplement, in their latest Kickstarter crowdfunder. In addition to the core rulebook, the other books are The Reistance Campaign, Houses of the Realm, and the NPC Book.

This is a Science Fantasy roleplaying game. Essentially, it is a space opera. Set in a galactic kingdom under the boot of a terrible, tyrannical ruler named King Drake Vasser of House Vasser. This King is a devoted servant to the gods of Night, the children of D’Ahet (god of night).

Meanwhile, the gods of night, the Children of Aminor (goddess of light), have been abolished. The mystics and paladins who serve the goddess of light and her children are hunted down and either imprisoned or killed. Many of them have taken to abandoning their temples and are hiding.

The King’s royal guard are the ones who enforce his rule. These loyal goons will go into any place to get their target. Often, these soldiers will invade a place they have no right to be in and do not care. Only their objective is to fulfill their ruler's mandate. Bring the servants of light to heel or destroy them.

The King is mad, powerful, and has the cosmic gift. When his father, the previous King, passed away, it was a whole new, dark day. The previous King was a servant to the Light, but somehow his son strayed off that path. This is an oppressive time.

The houses that do support this King are thriving during this time. Those who speak out against his actions find themselves visited by the Royal Guard. Many who oppose are smart enough to keep their mouth closed and work behind the scenes to bring about change.

Resistance is growing, and some of these houses are secretly funneling money to it. While all this turmoil is going on, at the edge of the galaxy, there is a new threat. A species called the Krazul. They are barbaric invaders who worship a god of War named Sh’Meti. This empire is ruthless and shows no mercy. They seem to especially despise the King and all who serve under his banner. They are big, savage beast-like humanoids.

Also serving them is a servitor species nicknamed the Jackals. Dog like humanoids that delight in the carnage and scavenge the remains of the battlefield. The Krazul Empire see they are on a holy mission to conquer all in the name of their god. 

Players are people trying to either help out those in need or just stay out of the way of the King’s thugs and make a few credits to survive. The gamemaster can take this game in a number of directions.

There are lots of options for characters, from species, background, training, mystic abilities, talents, complications, cybernetics, bioware, and even custom-designed starships.

The core rule book is all you need to run or play the game. We will be creating some awesome supplement books for the gamemasters to use if they wish, which will provide a whole setup for a campaign and other side adventures.

Chronicles of the Stellar Kingdom is currently funding on Kickstarter and is running until Thursday 10th September 2026.
