Kobold Press are preparing to release the Night Hunters into the wild.
Coming soon to Kickstarter, this new and forthcoming campaign contains two new books, each of which being a ‘complete horror toolkit for both players and Game Masters’. Entitled Night Horrors and Night Terrors, they are designed to be used with both and 5e and Kobold Press’ own Tales of the Valiant roleplaying game. Each is a ‘terrifying trove of tools to twist fear into unforgettable adventures’ in a world where ‘terror thrives, and only the brave dare stand against the dark’.
Inside Night Hunters you’ll find:
The new Shadow Tokens system: these new mechanics encourage players to take greater risks in exchange for greater rewards.
A collection of 60 new curses, diseases and hazards, all of which threaten to ‘corrupt, weaken, and unsettle your characters’.
A suite of new effects for 5e’s Dread rules
A swathe of new tables with which to ‘generate ghost stories on the fly, escalate horrors […] or weave tragic dark romances.
A collection of new and ‘fully realized villains’, each of which is brought to you with ‘their own schemes, lairs, minions, and chilling rewards’.
Night Terrors, meanwhile, contains 12 horror-themed adventures, all of which utilise the new mechanics and elements included in Night Hunters.
See the Kobold Press website and the Night Hunters Kickstarter pre-launch page for more details.

It’s been almost forty years since Ereb Altor was first introduced to the world in the Swedish Sinkadus magazine. It became the first major campaign world for the Dragonbane RPG and, thanks to Helmgast AB and Astrolab Game Studios, will be seeing an English-language release later this year after a crowdfunding campaign due this summer.

The Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) awards were first created in 1978, celebrating the best in board and card game design. Even being nominated for the award can bring in a massive sales boost for the games, with the winner often selling 500,000+ copies. It is one of the few awards in the games industry that has a major effect on sales and exposure. The awards, and nominations, are usually covered in the mainstream news in Germany.

Muhammad Ali, Bruce Lee, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo all walk into a pizza joint… all are icons and classic fighters but that’s not the only similarity between them any longer. Now they have all been immortalised in two new Unmatched sets by Iello which will be hitting stores next week.
