New Critcal Role Daggerheart Mini-Series Launches 9th July

In under a month we’ll see the launch of the first episode of an all-new, six-part, Daggerheart mini-series led by Matther Mercer. Age of Umbra: Sallowlands, set in a dark and foreboding fantasy world, has it’s debut on 9th July on Beacon, Twitch, and YouTube.

Return to the blighted Halcyon Domain as five misfits seek solace within the mysteries of a new region: The Sallowlands. This swathe of cracked badlands holds secrets that could lead them to salvation - or into the jaws of ancient horror.

Game Master Matthew Mercer leads this standalone adventure, and is joined by a cast including Critical Role co-founder Laura Bailey, along with Jennifer English, Abubaker Salim,Vico Ortiz, and Zachery Renauldo. They’ll encounter brutal adversaries and high stakes in this dark and emotional actual play, which explores themes of desperation, survival, an love in the face of overwhelming odds.

The Halcyon Domain is a bleak realm, rotting in the wake of its Pantheon’s abandonment, where ancient wonders now crumble slowly into ruin. The Sallowlands region expands upon the campaign frame from the Daggerheart Core Set: A once-vibrant lake of the Old World now lies sunken and barren, a canyon desert of swirling dust storms and desperate communities holding fast to the light. Against this ghastly backdrop a new tale is told, when a surprising development sends a group of outcasts and survivors off the edges of the map in search of answers.

The six-episode mini-series premieres on Thursday 7th July at 7pm Pacific Time (Friday 3am in the UK). The show will initially be streamed on Beacon, Critcal Role’s Twitch and YouTube. The following Monday after each episode will see VODs on YouTube made available. Podcasts versions will be instantly available, and ad-free, to Beacon subscribers, or in two parts anywhere podcasts are founds on the Thursday after the premiere with the second part available the following Tuesday.
