The minor powers all have a part to play in the Fifth Frontier War. Each has its own equipment, organisation and doctrine. High-technology Darrian ships mounting advanced meson cannon face off against Sword Worlds minelayers and raiders. Mercenaries guard the spacelanes against Vargr corsairs and opportunist conquerors. The scale is smaller but the stakes are no lower.

 Should a squadron commander attack head-on or make a less risky slashing pass? Is the retreating enemy force drawing its enemies onto a stealthy ambush or a minefield?
