Say Your Pwayers, Wabbits ... Toon Has Weturned!

The new edition of Steve Jackson Games’ Toon! is currently cwowdfunding on Backerkit.

From Bugs Bunny to Mighty Mouse, Daffy Duck to Tom and Jerry, the slapstick rivalries of classic cartoon characters have left an indelible mark on modern pop culture. Now you can recreate those misadventures with the new edition of the Toon! roleplaying game.

First published in 1984 by Steve Jackson Games, Toon! is the bwain … sorry, brainchild of Greg Costikyan and Warren Spector. Designed to emulate the misadventures of classic cartoon characters, it focuses squarely on mayhem and kinetic action at the expense of pesky nonsense like physics or its characters’ mortality. All it cares about is cartoon capers and animated action.

This new edition retains that same spirit and energy of the original release whilst boasting ‘simplified character design, more than a dozen cartoon adventures […] and lots of advice for the Game Master’. In doing so, it offers ‘an entry-level roleplaying experience for the whole family’.
