François-Gilles Ricard is preparing to liberate Paris.
Described as an ‘intense asymmetric game’, Liberation is a deck-building game which pits the Nazi occupiers of Paris against the French Resistance. Players can choose to play either of the protagonists before vying to ‘resist and rally the population’ or ‘silence the rebellion’.
Players can also enjoy standalone Scenarios or go all-in with an ‘immersive campaign’ spread over five scenarios. Cooperative and solo play modes are also available, as the game ‘can control the Occupier for you’.
See the Kickstarter pre-launch page for more details.

A dramatic illustration depicts a divided scene representing the conflict between Nazi occupiers and the French Resistance in Paris. On the left, a stern Nazi officer in a military uniform stands prominently, while on the right, a woman with dark hair and a determined expression symbolizes the Resistance. The background features a chaotic urban landscape with smoke and flames, and the word "LIBERATION" is boldly displayed across the center, emphasizing the game's theme.

A tabletop game setup features a detailed game board depicting Paris, with various pathways and locations marked. Red and green player pieces are scattered across the board, alongside dice in red and black. Several decks of cards are arranged at the bottom, showcasing character artwork, while a box labeled "PLATYPUS GAME" is positioned in the upper left corner. The game emphasizes its asymmetric nature, allowing players to choose between the Nazi occupiers and the French Resistance.
