Colonel Muller's From Meuse to Volga, 1940-1942 Kickstarter Now in Final Fortnight
Body
The From Meuse to Volga, 1940-1942 Kickstarter campaign is now in its final fortnight.
Described as ‘A new 28mm German army collection [of] STL files for resin 3D printing’, this campaign offers wargamers and collectors a wealth of Wehrmacht units and equipment, including ‘combat squads, MG34 teams, charismatic NCOs with multiple weapon options, and fully modular figures’.
Historical accuracy is clearly at the forefront of the creators’ minds, with its miniatures ‘conceived as a frozen moment of History.’ This attention to historically accurate weapons and gear creates ‘a strong visual and historical coherence’ which aficionados will appreciate. The creators have also placed an onus on fine detail and dynamism; this is evident in the miniatures gear and weapons such as the MG34, Mauser K98, and MP40.
The range also features a modular head system, with each of those heads boasting expressive faces.
Whilst these miniatures are intended to be printed at 28mm scale, they can be resized in scales ranging from 1/72 to 1/35 scale ’where the level of detail truly shines’.
Also, by virtue of a collaboration with Counlane Models, backers can also add tanks and armoured vehicles to their pledges; these range from the SdKfz 251 C half-tracked armoured personnel carrier (which includes ‘multiple crews and passengers’) as well as Panzer and StuG tanks.
It is also worth noting that this campaign offers digital files only; there are no physical models available.
From Meuse to Volga, 1940-1942 is the debut Kickstarter campaign by Stephane Monnereaux’s Colonel Muller Miniatures. It has been co-produced by Ron Courtes of Counlane Models.
