Serenissima Obscura Coming to Backerkit

Are you ready to explore the darker side of Renaissance Venice?

Coming soon to Backerkit, Vortex Verlag’s Serenissima Obscura is a 340+ page book that is one half setting guide to a fantastical version of Renaissance Venice, one half modular adventure ‘filled with conspiracies and terror’.

This extensive setting guide offers vivid details and extensive background materials about not only Venice, but also ‘the historical and mystical background of the Magical Renaissance in 1507’. Serenissima Obscura further builds onthat background with 27 adventure modules which focus on investigation and horror. These can be used for one-shot adventures, or combined to create a complete campaign.

Whilst Serenissima Obscura does include stats and rules for 5e and Vortex Verlag’s own shorthand universal stats, it is largely a system-agnostic book. Add-ons will include the extra booklets Ars Magica Guide for Serenissima Obscura and The Magical Renaissance Player's Guide, and an array of maps.
