Games Workshop Preview Kill Team: Dead Silence

Games Workshop have previewed their new and forthcoming Kill Team set, Dead Silence.

Available soon, this new addition to the Kill Team catalogue pitches those perennial 40k favourites, the Space Wolves, against the not-so-favourites, pseudo-manga Tau. An expansion rather than a start set, it ‘builds on the Tomb World killzone’ by adding ‘more teams, more hazards, and a new narrative campaign’; this campaign can be played ‘both competitively and co-operatively’.

Two brand new teams are included in the box set: Tau and Space Wolves. The Tau are rocking their brand new XV26 battlesuits; which allow them to not only render themselves ‘almost completely invisible’ but also power some serious firepower…

…And they’ll need it, because the veteran Space Wolf Wolf Scouts are not only equipped with plasma weapons and frost-rimmed combat blades, but they’re also backed by Rune Priest Skjalds; these battle psykers are able to call upon elemental storms which’ obscure their advance and batter enemy operatives with wind, hail, and lightning’.

These new teams are detailed in the Kill Team: Dead Silence Dossier. This book features ‘background lore and information’ for each team, examines their objectives and analyses their capabilities. It also includes full rules for the Tau Stealth Battlesuits and Wolf Scouts, as well as an extensive new campaign system; this system has been designed to be played ‘co-operatively, competitively, and even solo’.
