Osprey Games have previewed a number of their forthcoming wargames.

Revealed today on their blog, this forthcoming tranche of titles features the kind of variety we’ve come to expect from Osprey Games. Each of these new books are written by award-winning designer Joseph A. McCullough and include not only a new edition of Oathmark, but also new Warriors of Athena and Stargrave titles.

Warriors of Athena: Heroes contains all the core rules needed to play this new wargame. It features simple D20-based mechanics and an extensive suite of character options; these allow players to create not only their own demigod, but also his or her loyal crew with which to ‘set out into the perilous Aegean to forge a legend!’

Warriors of Athena: Quests, meanwhile, further expands on the core Warriors of Athena rules to add ‘an extensive bestiary of gods, monsters, and other adversaries’ to your campaigns.

A ‘revised and expanded version of the popular mass-battle fantasy wargame’, Oathmark: Second Edition boasts not only a raft of new and expanded rules, but also new unit types and swathe of revisions inspired by player feedback.

If sci-fi is more your bag, the Mister McCullough has also got your back. Stargrave: Acceptable Losses allows players to run their own mercenary companies ‘and sell their services to the highest bidder’. Acceptable Losses includes not only rules for ‘military vehicles, heavy weapons [and] varied types of combat armour’, but also ‘airdrop deployment, artillery strikes, and laying minefields’. Players can also look forward to new solo and cooperative scenarios designed to ‘test the courage and tactical acumen of aspiring soldiers of fortune’.

All of these titles are available for pre-order on the Osprey webstore, and are due for release in February of this year.
