Wizards of the Coast has warned that shipping delays will leave some North American hobby stores without physical Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft pre-orders for the planned 3rd November early-access launch.

In an announcement published on 27th October, Wizards said arrival dates would vary between stores. Gameplay Expansion books and the Murloc Mini could arrive a few days late, although many retailers should receive them on time.

The Horde and Alliance miniature packs face the biggest disruption, with deliveries expected around 17th November. Potentially affected products also include the standard, alternate-cover and Collector’s Edition books, Dungeon Master’s Screen and Icecrown Citadel Adventure Map Pack. Wizards expects all affected products to arrive on or around the 17th November global release date.

Digital availability through D&D Beyond is unaffected, and the shipping notice only concerns North America and does not affect the UK or elsewhere.

For affected hobby retailers, the disruption could erode much of the two-week early-access window, a frustrating setback for stores hoping to use the period to help sales increasingly being eroded by the likes of Amazon and online discount sites.
