Dungeons & Dragons : World of Warcraft - A Look At All The Products Announced So Far...

One of the big annoucnements at Gen Con was the news that Wizards of the Coast was bringing a range of World of Warcraft titles to the worlds most popular tabletop roleplaying game, Dungeons & Dragons. Now we get to see more details about the range and the covers. All titles will be available through Wizard Play Network stores from Tuesday 3rd November, with other stores and online retailers receiving the game for a Tuesday 17th November release.

Azeroth is calling, and this time, the story is yours to forge. Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft brings the storied MMO world from desktop to tabletop, where your choices shape every battle, every alliance, and every legend. Recreate your main, roll a new alt, or play a hero the world has never seen.

The Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft Gameplay Expansion is the main title you will need to be able to play your games in Azeroth. This is not a stand-alone book, you will still need the Dungeons & Dragons Core Books (Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, Monster Manual) to be able to run and play the game, but this title will give you a wealth of information, and new rules, to explore Azeroth for many years.

• 6 new subclasses: Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of the Holy (Paladin), Demon Hunter (Ranger), Shadow Domain and Discipline Domain (Cleric), and Path of the Elements (Barbarian) - plus 3 updated subclasses and 13 world of Warcraft class skins.

• 11 new sepcies: Dracthyr, Draenei, Earthen, Forsaken, Haranir, Mechagnome, Pandarem, tauren, Troll, Vulpera, and Worgen help you build a character that feels unmistakably World of Warcraft.

• 60+ new spells and 25+ new magic items, including popular mounts and companion creatures.

• 50+ new monsters and 30 dungeon boss stat blocks: Azeroth’s greatest threats built for encounter peaks.

• 7 iconic World of warcraft dungeons reimagined for tabletop play, with boss encounters worthy of the legends.

• 23 factions with renown rewards for forging your legacy across Azeroth.

The core game expansion is actually going to be available in three formats. As well as he standard retail version you can get an Alternative Cover version. This is also going to be available through retail, includes the same contents, but is a limited edition and will also contain redeemable codes for some in-game items for world of Warcraft. The in-game items you could unlock with the Alternate Cover edition include a Black Dragon mount, Gazer pet, Mimic chest toy, and Mimic chest decor.

The Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft Collector’s Edition Gameplay Expansion is only going to be available through core hobby stores and D&D Beyond. It is a Limited Edition and features a slipcase with foil and sculpted cover treatments dedicated to two of World of Warcraft'‘s iconic factions. The contents are exactly the same as the other books, including the four codes for the in-game items you can unlock for use in the MMO that appear in the Alternate cover version of the book.

In addition to the core Gameplay Expansion there are a number of other items coming out at the same time for the World of Warcraft setting. A Dungeon Master’s Screen, Adventure map pack, and two packs of miniatures - one for the Horde and the other for the Alliance.

The secret lore of Azeroth is yours to keep hidden behind the Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft Dungeon Master’s Screen.

This physical double-sided screen wraps your table in World of Warcraft artwork on the player-facing side, while the DM-facing side puts your most essential Azeroth rules - encounters, faction renown, and combat quick-reference - exactly where you need them.

The Lich King’s stronghold awaits in the Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft - Icecrown Citadel Adventrure Map Pack. The pack brings Azeroth’s most legendary raid to your table with five double sided poster maps and a complete digital adventure that carries your party from the Lower Spire to the Frozen Throne.

The Map Pack includes:

• 5 double-sided poster maps (22”x30”) covering 10 of Icecrown Citadel’s most iconic encounters, ready to unfurl across your table.

• 2 token sheets to populate your encounters with the lich King’s forces.

• Complete 74-page digital adventure spanning levels 16-20 across 5 chapters, 10 maps, and 10 boss encounters - with 16 new magic items and premade characters included. (This digital adventure is available via a D&D Beyond code included in the pack).

The Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft Official Miniatures Alliance Pack brings your campaign to life with seven finely detailed miniatures ready for your your table as player characters, NPCs, or formidable foes. Led by the Lich King this pack also includes a Worgen, Draenei, Human, Gnome, Dwarf, and Night Elf.

The Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft Official Miniatures Horde Pack also includes 7 figures. This time the pack is led by the demon hunter Illidan Stormrage, and also includes a Blood Elf, Troll, Tauren, Forsaken, orc, and a Goblin.
