(Crowdfund Quest) Licenced RuneQuest Miniatures

Crowdfund Quest is a daily column that takes us on an expedition into tabletop crowdfunding with a look at a current project in the tabletop gaming world.

Chaosium have temed up with Rune Marked Miniatures to create a brand new range of miniatures for your Gloranthan adventures in the RuneQuest tabletop roleplaying game. The initial range of 14 adventurers are based on the pre-generated playable characters featured in the RuneQuest Starter Set.

RuneQuest is one of the true legends of tabletop roleplaying. First published in 1978, it helped define the fantasy RPG hobby and introduced generations of players to an exciting style of adventure.

What truly sets RuneQuest apart is its extraordinary Bronze Age inspired setting: Glorantha is an incredibly detailed and imaginative world of mortals and gods, myths and cults, monsters and heroes. Culture, community and family history are core to your adventurer’s path, and combat is notoriously dynamic and dangerous.

The game rewards creativity and cleverness as much as fighting prowess, so all types of adventurers play a valuable role. Player characters develop through skill based experience and their affinity with the mystical Runes, allowing for diverse customisation.

Although the base set is for the 14 Adventurerr miniatures, available as either 28-32mm heroic scale resin 3D printed miniatures or as STL files, if the campaign does well a number of other miniature sets will be unlocked and made available as add-ons. These include sets such as Path of the Wild, which will include five ducks, five elves, and three unique characters, or the Path of Chaos which unleashes 13 goat-headed broos.

Licenced RuneQuest Miniatures is currently funding on Kickstarter and runs until Thursday 23rd July 2026.
