SALUTE 53

Europe's largest independent wargaming event returns to ExCeL London on Saturday 11th April 2026. Organised by the South London Warlords, this one-day-only gathering brings together thousands of hobbyists, hundreds of demonstration and participation games, and traders from across the UK and internationally. This year's theme is Cavalry.

Beyond the trade stands and gaming tables, SALUTE 53 features the show's renowned Painting Competition judged by some of the hobby's most prolific painters, alongside the Hobby Heroes celebrity panel show where attendees can meet game designers, painters and historians. The first 5,000 visitors through the doors receive the legendary goodie bag containing the exclusive SALUTE 53 miniature and assorted treasures.

The South London Warlords have hosted SALUTE every year since 1972, pausing only for the pandemic in 2020. The show remains entirely volunteer-run by the same non-profit club that started it all at the Surrey Tavern in the Oval over fifty years ago.
