Delver’s Digest, Vol. 1: The Shape in the Dark is out now

We all love horror stories, and we all love ttrpgs. We wanted to create a compilation of stories which the community can pick up and run on any given night with fresh takes and system as they went along. Six writers got together for a horror one-shot each, six very different ideas of what it means to go too deep, too far in, with no hope to turn back. Grab your copy and spread the horror this Halloween season.

ttrp.gg has published Delver’s Digest, Vol. 1: The Shape in the Dark, a 64-page horror TTRPG anthology in association with with House of Adventures, Kolkata. It collects six standalone one-shots by Indian authors, each written for a different system, and original artworks by three artists.

Delver’s Digest, Vol. 1 is available now in physical and digital format at ttrp.gg/shop/delvers-digest.

Every adventure in the collection is self-contained and sized for a single session (4-6 hours) and 4-6 players. Between them the six cover Candela Obscura™, Mothership® 1e, Call of Cthulhu® 7e, Mörk Borg and Liminal Horror, along with a system agnostic scenario built on the SCP mythos. The book runs to 64 pages with original artwork throughout.

The six one-shots

• In 1940s Kolkata, in the shadows of the Bengal famine, a renowned painter is found dead in his locked studio. No weapons, no signs of struggle, just a faint trace of bleed. A Candela Obscura™ compatible adventure by Swarnaa Chakraborty (Shana), art by Sayan Biswas.

• A containment site for entities humanity tries to forget suffers a breach, and a group of staff members try to escape. A system agnostic adventure built on the SCP mythos by Ayaz Naseem (RoiAyaz), cover art by Ved Mukherjee.

• Far past the reach of any security or law, a salvage crew finds treasure circling a black hole: a graveyard of ships with no perpetrator around except the vast empty space. A Mothership® 1e compatible adventure by Pseudoraj, art by Ved Mukherjee.

• A maximum-security prison is evacuated overnight after a series of unexplained events, and a group of investigators race against time to find a rational explanation. A Call of Cthulhu® 7e compatible adventure by Neel, art by Sayan Biswas.

• The earth has split open and is spilling the dream of a world gone cold. A group of pilgrims and crusaders descend in search of eternity, lest they find it and forget what they came for. A Mörk Borg compatible adventure by Shenn, art by Arius.

• A three-day retreat at a quiet, far-off house, for those with guilt to shed. Some leave feeling lighter, some never may; neither is a mercy. A Liminal Horror compatible adventure by Nyx, art by Arius.
