Few companies understand this fascination better than Q Workshop, who just released an officially licensed range of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit dice and other gaming accessories.

Rather than just printing logos onto standard polyhedral dice, Q Workshop have created sets that capture the distinct cultures, locations, and characters of Middle-earth. Intricate engravings, thematic colour pallettes, and inconography inspired by Tolkien’s works make each set feel like a collectors piece as much as a gaming accessory. Whether your heart belongs to the peaceful hills of the Shire, the majestic halls of Rivendell, or the goblin infested mines of Moria, there is a design to match your favourite corner of Middle-earth.

The Hobbit range celebrates Bilbo’s unexpected journey with a range of jumbo d20’s, sets of d6 amd other dice sets for The Hobbit TCG as well as 61×65.5cm neoprene playmat featuring Thorin’s Company and a dice pouch featuring a print of the Lonely Mountain with a red marked entrance and Smaug illustration on the front of it.

The Lord of the Rings range takes things even further, with a wide-range of dice sets on offer across sets of 10 d6, or complete 7 polyhedral dice sets (d4, 6, 8, 10, %, 12, 20) for gaming. A range of dice pouches are available featuring the the likes of the Nazgul, Arwen, The Shire and The One Ring itself. In addition to these you have leather dice cups, wooden dice boxes and dice trays.

The range is gorgeous and should appeal to Lord of the Ring/Hobbit fans, dice collectors and gamers - especially if you’re playing The One Ring,Dungeons & Dragons, or another fantasy game.
