Trench Crusade: Carcass Front - A New Chapter Begins

A box for the "Trench Crusade: Carcass Front" narrative campaign features a dramatic illustration of a fierce battle scene. In the foreground, a red, demonic figure wields a weapon amidst a chaotic clash with armored soldiers, surrounded by skulls and tattered banners. The title "TRENCH CRUSADE: CARCASS FRONT" is prominently displayed at the top, with the subtitle "NARRATIVE CAMPAIGN BOX" below, set against a dark, atmospheric backdrop.

Archon Studio have just opened pre-orders for Carcass Front - a new chapter in the grimdark, alternate-history Trench Crusade miniatures game, designed by Mike Franchina and Tuomas Pireinen.

A group of detailed miniatures from the Trench Crusade game is displayed, featuring characters from the Carcass Front narrative campaign. The figures are dressed in tattered robes and wield various weapons, including a flaming torch and an axe, set against a dark, industrial backdrop with large, cylindrical machinery. The scene conveys a grimdark atmosphere, emphasizing the conflict between the opposing warbands, the Procession of the Sacred Affliction and Heretic Naval Raiders.

Trench Crusade diverges from our real history all the way back in the 11th century after the First Crusades successfully captured Jerusalem. A victory that then saw some members of the Knights Templar open a literal gateway to Hell, destroying the city, and seeing the forces of Hell conquer most of the Levant. Fast forward 800 years, to 1914, and the forces of Hell have conquered one-third of humanity.

The armies are at a stalemate, with both sides now engaged in trench warfare, with the area caught between the forces of Heaven and Hell a no-mans land in which small warbands, from both sides, conduct a range of missions - from finding artifacts and relics, assassinating high value targets, gathering intelligence, or capturing prisoners.

A boxed set titled

Carcass Front is a new narrative campaign set for the skirmish game that includes 16 miniatures across two opposing warbands (Procession of the Sacred Affliction and Heretic Naval Raiders), scenarios and two campaigns. The box will also include a selection of terrain pieces, dice, rulers, and a set of introductory rules for Trench Crusade.

Each model includes up to two asembly options, giving you the freedom to follow the included builds or customize your fighters with different weapons, equipment, and head swaps to make the Warband your own.

Five intricately designed miniatures from the Carcass Front expansion of the Trench Crusade game are displayed. The figures include two armored soldiers wielding rifles, one holding a chainsaw, and another with a large weapon, all featuring detailed textures and weathering effects. In the center stands a menacing figure in a red robe and pyramid-shaped headpiece, holding a spear, embodying the grimdark aesthetic of the game. Each model showcases unique assembly options for customization.

“The ever-restless armies of Hell stir once more in the benighted lands beyond New Antioch known as the Carcass Front. Everywhere signs show the return of Leviathan is nigh. Warbands of the Faithful and Fallen gather to fulfill the Prophecy of Leviathan in the hope of mankind’s salvation, or to complete its damnation.”

Trench Crusade: Carcass Front is due for release towards the end of July. Pre-orders are currently being taken on Archon Studios webstore.
