Games Workshop Preview Oodles of New Goodies
Body
It’s a good day to be a Games Workshopaholic.
There’s a glut of new Games Workshop goodies heading our way. Previewed today on the Warhammer Community website, the bulk of these new releases is divided between Necromunda and Legions Imperialis. If the printed word is more your thing, however, then you can also look forward to a new White Dwarf.
Necromunda
Things are, as ever, kicking off in the Underhive, so you really should consider some of the following reinforcements:
It’s a real headache keeping the peace in the Underhive. Thankfully, these new Palanite Justicars have a whole heap of painkillers—otherwise known as the Palanite Enforcer Weapons & Upgrades set—to hand.
ho! Hi ho! To the Underhive we go!
With a pistol and spade and a hand grenade,
Hi ho! Hi ho! Hi ho! hi ho!
Making a living in the blighted wastes of Necromunda is no picnic, but these new Ironhead Squats have the taste for it. Using their ‘keen senses, […] years of experience, and top-notch equipment’, these pint-sized prospectors have the skills to pay the bills. This new set of plastic, multi-part miniatures includes two Exo Masters, two Charter Masters, two Drill Mastersand two Techmite Autoveyors.
Need some more cannon fodder for you gang? Then look no further! This new Underhive Hangers-on set features all the ‘weirdos, opportunists, and mercenaries’ you could ever hope to recruit, including a Slopper, an Ammo-jack, a Hive Watcher, a Dome Runner, and a Rogue Doc with medi skull.
And finally, we have the Divine Prince, Ozostium Aranthus. Having been exhumed from his tomb, this golden oldie has not only claimed the throne of House Helmawr, but also harbours plans to dominate Necromunda.
Rules for Ozostium Aranthus can be found in The Aranthian Succession: Spire of Primus.
If your taste in 40k is a little more epic, then you may be interested in this Saturnine Battle Group. A complete force for Legions Imperialis, this box of awesome features a eight Saturnine Dreadnoughts, 12 bases of Saturnine Terminators, four Saturnine Terminator Command Squads, eight Araknae platforms, eight Vindicator tanks, two Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports, and two Fire Raptor gunships. You also get thousands of very teeny, very tiny transfers, so good luck with those…
If you don’t want to buy a whole box of very tiny miniatures, then the following are also available to order individually:
Saturnine Battle Group
Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre
Araknae Weapons Platform Batteries
Falchion Super-heavy Tanks
Fellblade Super-heavy Tanks
Legiones Astartes Combined Arms Battle Group
Solar Auxilia Combined Arms Battle Group
If this raft of pre-orders doesn’t float your boat, then how about the new and forthcoming White Dwarf and Journal Strategia – The Ruin of the Salamanders. The latter not only details the Dropsite Massacre, but also contains new Formations for Legiones Astartes and Iconic Formations for Legiones Astartes and Solar Auxilia. There are also rules for using the new Saturnine units, Araknae weapons platforms, Legion tanks, and super-heavy tanks in games of Legions Imperialis.
