White Dwarf 518 to Celebrate 50 Years of Games Workshop

It’s the golden anniversary of Games Workshop, and they’re celebrating with a special issue of White Dwarf.

Now available for pre-order, issue #518 of this august periodical will not only include the usual mixture of Warhammer articles and news, but also a commemoration of 50 years of GW and Warhammer.

This potted report promises to reprise the history of Games Workshop, White Dwarf and Warhammer from its humble beginnings to its position of world domination. With testimonies and accounts from GW alumni passed and present, this retrospective will cover ‘the changing creation of miniatures’; ’Eavy Metal; the evolution of Warhammer artwork, concept design and background materials; the company’s classic analogue and digital games and more. A ‘fascinating trip into the history of the company’, it will be a ’must read for veterans and newcomers alike’.

This retrospective will also feature an exhaustive examination of the bolt gun, a guide to the best of the Black Library’s Warhammer fiction, and a showcase of classic miniatures as painted by the Warhammer Studio.
