Games Workshop Preview a Plethora of New Products (Part Four: the Helsmiths of Hashut)

A detailed display of the new Zharrdron army features various miniatures set against a dark, industrial backdrop. In the center, a prominent War Despot stands on a pedestal, clad in imposing armor and wielding a staff, surrounded by Infernal Cohorts holding spears. To the left, a large, menacing Dominator Engine looms, while a mortar-like Tormentor Bombard is positioned on the right, showcasing the army's dark and chaotic aesthetic.

Body

If you've been waiting for the return of Chaos Dwarves, then you're in luck, because they're back, and they're bad-asses…

…Admittedly they're no longer called Chaos Dwarves, but these new ‘Zharrdron’, as they're now known, are Chaos Dwarves nonetheless. Described as 'Duardin whose ancestors fell under the fiery sway of Hashut in eras past', these Chaos Dw—Zharrdron have fallen under the corrupting influence of Chaos and gone all spikey. Described as 'the very personification of dark industry, weaponised arrogance and unbridled cruelty', these waist-high warriors are all about kickin' shins and biting kneecaps.

The army is led by a War Despot; described as 'a leader within the ziggurat fortresses of the Zharrdron', the War Despot is 'Swollen by dark power and clad in imposing armour'. He is also armed with magical weapons 'empowered by the most dangerous daemonic essences'.

A detailed miniature of a Zharrdron warrior stands prominently, showcasing intricate armor adorned with spikes and dark metallic hues. The figure wields a large, ornate staff topped with a green, glowing emblem, and features a helmet with prominent horns, emphasizing its imposing presence. The base is textured with rocky elements, enhancing the character's fierce and industrial aesthetic.

The nucleus of the War Despot's army is formed by the Infernal Cohorts. Composed of Duardin nobility, these warriors weald their weapons—ablaze with demonic energy—with supreme martial skill.

A group of five Zharrdron warriors stands in a dynamic formation, each clad in dark, ornate armor with intricate detailing. They wield a mix of weapons, including swords and shields, with some featuring glowing green accents. The warriors are set against a simple base with tufts of grass, emphasizing their imposing presence and the dark, industrial aesthetic of their design.

The Duardin don't just go to war wielding fancy weapons; they also bring some serious warmachines! These include the mortar-like Tormentor Bombard and the Deathshrieker Rocket Battery. These propel munitions which burn with the raw stuff of Chaos and which explode 'with terrible force'.

A detailed model of a war machine from the Zharrdron army, featuring a large, imposing structure with a prominent cannon mounted on top. The cannon is adorned with green, glowing elements and is flanked by two armored figures in dark, ornate attire, one of whom is operating the weapon. The base of the model includes intricate mechanical details and a textured surface, enhancing its industrial aesthetic.

Finally, the army is completed by the Dominator Engine. This 'ironclad daemon' is anointed with the blood of Hashut's enemies, and powered by engines which guzzle 'tormented daemon-matter'. Unleaded options are also available.

A large, imposing figure known as the Dominator Engine stands prominently, featuring a heavily armored body with intricate metallic details and chains hanging from its torso. Its arms are equipped with massive, cannon-like appendages that emit green smoke, suggesting a connection to chaotic energies. The central part of the figure glows with a green light, contrasting with the dark metallic colors, and the base is adorned with rocky terrain, enhancing its menacing presence.

Finally, no new Games Workshop army would be complete with its accompanying Battletome, and this one is no different. Behind that swish, exclusive cover, is all the lore, art and rules you'll need to really get to grips with the Helsmiths of Hashut. There also some accompanying Warscroll cards!
