Summer Upgrades: Tabletop Sentinel's July Tech updates

Steev has been hard at work behind the scenes to bring a slew of updates and improvements to Tabletop Sentinel. Here's a detailed look at all the recent changes and what's coming up next.

Coming soon

• Adding posts - It's way too difficult to add content especially from your phone. We're testing the new version which will make it so much easier
• Forum view - What's old is new again! We want to rewild the internet and create a place free from enshittification. So we're giving you the option to wind back the clock and view the content like it's 1999! Coming soon.
• Events - Lots of people have contacted us to ask us to build a single place where you can view all the events and clubs hosted by our partners and gamers around the world. We've started building it and it will be ready in a few weeks.

And we have some special surprises that we're not allowed to mention right now, but stay tuned.

Updates
Here are all the updates from the last few weeks, I maybe forgot to update the changelog but that's done now.

New Landing Pages
  - We're experimenting with new landing pages for competitions and product launches. You can check out one of the test pages here: Win a Copy of Skaventide. This feature will soon be available to our partners.

Login via Embedded Facebook or Instagram Browser
  - If you're still using the embedded Facebook or Instagram browser (why?), you will see that it fails for facebook and google login, so these have been removed. You're better off going into the app settings and enabling links to open in your full browsew.

Fix for Videos Restarting on Axe Click
  - We discovered that our previous fix for videos restarting on an axe click was ineffective. This issue has now been resolved.

Right-Click Functionality Improved
  - Right-clicking an item in the ROC now correctly opens in a new tab, thanks to help from Le Zonion.

Feature Flags – Beta Testing Opt-In
  - We're introducing feature flags, allowing users to opt-in for beta testing new features. This gives you more control over your experience and helps us gather valuable feedback.

Cookies Notice Reinstated
  - A temporary cookies notice has been reinstated to support the feature flags. We aim to make this as unobtrusive as possible and hopefully only temporary.

Privacy Policy Update
  - We've revised our privacy policy to include a statement about occasional email updates regarding service changes and new content. This means you might hear from us more often about exciting new developments.
  - Our privacy policy now includes a detailed list of cookies we use. No major changes, just more transparency.

YouTube Embeds with 'NoCookie' Mode
  - For enhanced privacy, YouTube embeds now use 'NoCookie' mode, aligning with our commitment to protecting your data.

SEO Improvements
  - We've made several SEO improvements to ensure our content is more discoverable.

Enhanced Empty Feed Message
  - If your feed is empty, you will now see a more helpful message.

Improved Login Pages
  - Our login pages have received a visual overhaul, making them more user-friendly and visually appealing.

Social Links and Legal Information Added to Left Sidebar
  - We've integrated social media links and legal information into the left sidebar for easier access and better connectivity with our community.
