TTCombat Launch Their New Battlefleets
Body
TTCombat’s quest for galactic conquest continues with a raft of new Dropfleet Commander battlefleets.
Coming soon from the Cornish company, this new wave includes the following box sets:
The United Colonies of Mankind: defined by their frugality and utilitarianism, the UCM operate a fleet of ‘simple, mass-produced ships’ which are quick to produce and easy to maintain. Thus, with its ability to produce fleets ‘on an almost daily basis’, the UCM are able to grind their way to attritional victory after attritional victory.
The Bioficers: these ‘ancient, corrupted artificial intelligences’ are feared across the galaxy. Thought to be ‘the greatest threat sentient life has ever faced’, they appear in enemy systems or ambush fleets without ‘without warning, […] form up, and unleash hell’.
The Resistance: forming a patchwork fleet of ‘forgotten colonists, exiled crews, and survivors of worlds left to burn’, Resistance ships are a mash-up of ‘old Earth tech, scavenged alien systems and battlefield improvisation’.
The Post-Human Republic: boasting ‘vastly superior technology’ and a ‘symbiotic relationship with their machines’, the PHR use their ships robust armour to soak up damage whilst moving alongside enemy vessels to unleash devastating broadsides.
The Scourge: this race of parasites are part living being, part machine … and so are their ships. Driven to enslave entire planets, they use ‘devastating plasma weaponry’ to bombard their prey into submission and then enslave those left alive.
The Shaltari: these pint-sized aliens oscillate between serenity and a frothing need to prove their martial prowess. This machismo is reflected by their ships: they reject the use of armour in favour of energy shields and ‘incredible manoeuvrability’. Worse still, their weapons also pack a really, really powerful punch.
Each of these boxes contains ‘(almost) everything you’ll need to raise a fleet for your games of Dropfleet Commander’. The multi-part, plastic ships included have been chosen to provide not only a selection of versatile vessels, but also a number of more advanced ships designed to fill ‘particular roles’.
These box sets will be released on December 10th.
