Catan Studio’s have announced Catan Zip! A new portable version of the best-selling Catan game that is hitting stores in May, just in time for your summer holidays.

Catan Zip! comes with a paper map pad with 50 distinct island layouts. Players will draw their roads, settlements and cities directly on the map as the island develops.

Instead of cards you have slightly sturdier cardboard resource and development tokens. As with the original game, you’ll need to trade wisely with other players to gather all the resources you need to complete your building plans.

The game is all neatly contained in a handy transportable zipper pouch carrying case.

A portable version of Catan, titled Catan Zip!, is displayed with various components spread out. The central focus is a colorful game board featuring hexagonal tiles representing different resources, surrounded by punchboard tile holders and resource tokens. Additional items include a yellow travel bag, themed pens, a dice shaker, and cards for development and achievements, all arranged neatly for easy access during gameplay.

This compact portable edition includes:

  • 6 punchboard tile sheets (with resources and development tokens)

  • 4 punchboard tile holders

  • 1 paper CATAN map pad (with 50 unique maps!)

  • 4 CATAN themed pens

  • 7 storage boxes

  • 1 reuseable travel bag

  • 1 dice shaker

  • 1 rulebook

The game is for 3-4 players, ages 10+, and usually takes around 60 minutes to play.
