Naruto Card Game Set for Worldwide Release in June 2027

The new Naruto Card Game will launch simultaneously worldwide in June 2027, Bandai has announced at New York Comic Con. The trading card game draws on the worlds of Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

The launch lineup will include three pre-constructed Starter Decks led by Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara. Each is designed around its leader and comes with the cards needed to start playing. The first booster set, titled “Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!”, will also arrive at launch, featuring characters from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, alongside new ninjas, techniques and other cards for customising decks.

Players use a Leader Card, a 50-card deck, five Chakra Cards and a Summon Card, with the aim to reduce the opposing leader’s life to zero. Character Cards do the fighting, while Chakra pays for Ninjutsu and support effects; Summon Cards help bring characters into play. The game will also feature EX Characters, which can be played when specific conditions are met.

Players will have opportunities to try the game before release. Premier Demo Events at participating trading card stores are scheduled to begin in February 2027, with a wider rollout planned afterwards. A separate global campaign will distribute one million demo decks from spring 2027, giving players a chance to learn the basics ahead of launch.

Bandai has also announced two advance-release items: the Official Playmat – NARUTO VS. SASUKE – and Premium Card Collection Vol.00 – CHAKRA Set. They are planned for sale at Premier Demo Events and selected BANDAI CARD GAMES FEST 26-27 venues, including events in Orlando and London. Details on participating shops, dates and availability are still to come.

The game made its world debut at Gen Con 2026. Bandai says its next major update is planned for Jump Festa 2027 in December, with more cards and release information expected before the June launch. Card artwork will include both original illustrations and images from the anime and manga.

The Naruto Card Game already has a dedicated website for the game, as well as a presence on Facebook and Instagram.
