Add A Dash of Scandinavia To Your Fantasy TTRPGs...

Legendary Games have launched a new Kickstarter to bring to life the latest in a series of fantasy bestiaries that introduce an array of new critters to your roleplaying games. The book, Nordic Monsters: A Bestiary of Scandinavian Legends comes in a variety of system flavours, so they have you covered if your game of preference is Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (2024), Pathfinder 1st or 2nd Edition, or Tales of the Valiant.

Nordic Monsters brings us over 80 creatures from across Scandinavia, featuring monsters from the myths and legends of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland, across a range of different power levels. Legendary foes and mythologicial monsters such as the Fenris Wolf, Grendel, jotuns, trolls and the snake spitting syotatar, as well as the illhveli demon-whales are included.

Legendary Games trip to Scandinavia is just the latest bestiary they’ve produced inspired, or based on, folklore and legends from real world locations. Past books have already covered Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Mediterranean, as well as number of other bestiaries for subjects such as Sea Monsters, Mechanical Monsters, and the Mythos.

Nordic Monsters: A Bestiary of Scandinavian Legends is currently funding on Kickstarter until 22nd May, and the campaign has a June 2026 fulfilment date.
