Warmachine players beware, for the darkest powers of Old Umbrey are at large.
Released today by Steamforged Games, the new Old Umbrey Command Starter and Battlegroup Box sees the Old Witch Zevanna Agha summon two new warbands to fight for the glory of Khador.
These new sets feature an assortment of new characters and—in an interesting departure from the usual Khador lineup of hulking warmachines—warbeasts the likes of which would more commonly be associated with Hordes faction, the Circle of Orboros.
The first of these, the Old Umbrey Command Starter is led by the witch’s apostle, Bohdan Lesnoi. His warband includes the fierce, vulpine character warbeast Strix, as well as the Chosen of the Witch character unit and Bohdan’s crow familiar, Vorony.

If you want to give this new command starter a little more, ahem, teeth, then you can also avail yourself of this new Old Umbrey Battlegroup Box:

Whilst this battlegroup only includes three miniatures, each one of them is a cracker. The leader, Kapitan Galina Lissya, is a superb miniature, and the two heavy warbeasts included are imbued with a feral dynamism. The warbeasts can also be built in an assortment of different configurations:
