Body
DOOM Arena - The Board Game - storms onto Kickstarter in three weeks, and it’s not messing about. Designer Ben Maunder calls it “heavy metal chess” - two editions, one mission: total demonic annihilation.
The Classic DOOM edition resurrects the (best version by a country mile) 1993 original whilst DOOM: The Dark Ages brings the (sad...) 2025 release to your table. Both use identical rules and feature era-appropriate miniatures and expansions - presumably we’re going to be able to mix and match? Looking forward to a Spider Mastermind vs Atlan Mech encounter!
Too Young to Die
Designed by Resurrectionist Games, the two-player competitive game pits the Doom Slayer against demonic hordes across hex-based arenas. Three rounds, escalating carnage, and a deliberately tight action economy that prioritises positioning over just rolling dice and shooting everything. It must be daunting turning 32 years of iconic, genre defining, frantic FPS action into tabletop strategy but by all accounts, it works rather well.
IDDQD - IDKFA - YMMV
Drawing inspiration from Warhammer Underworlds and Adrenaline, the demon player is a malevolent puppet master, exploiting the Slayer’s every slip whilst managing a diverse horde of bullet magnets. The Slayer? Just does what they do best: rip and tear until it’s done.
No Respawns, No Repent
Expect an affordable core box focused on getting the game into hands rather than drowning you in stretch goals. Additional expansions will cover creatures from both eras - we’re very excited to explore all the circles of hell.
