There’s a new warband at large in Spitewood, and they don’t take kindly to strangers.
Revealed today on the Warhammer Community website, Kurnoth’s Heralds are a new warband for the forthcoming Warhammer Underworlds: Spitewood. Whilst the entirety of the Kurnothi includes races such as aelves, centauroids, and tree-folk, the Heralds are an elite band of elven centaurs. This trio of hard-riding harriers don’t like strangers intruding into the Spitewood, but they do love hunting such trespassers down and chopping them up.
Kurnoth’s Heralds include three character models: Cullon, Axe of Kurnoth; Lenwythe, Eye of the Forest; and their leader, Ylarin, Master of the Paths. Whilst this trio’s stats or abilities don’t imbue this trio with a great defence, they more than make up for this with high Movement and Health stats. They also dish out decent damage in melee. The archer of the group, Lenwythe, also adds further ranged lethality, able as he is to make a second ranged attack on a different target thanks to Precision Volley.
Other abilities such as Swift Sentinel make the Heralds impossible to outflank, and they are so fast and familiar with their surroundings they are considered to be flying whilst moving about Spitewood. This mobility is further reflected by their use of The Endless Hunt, which allows one of the Heralds to make a free move after a successful attack.
