Welcome To Night City...

The eagerly anticipated Night City 2045 sourcebook for the Cyberpunk RED tabletop roleplaying game has been given an release date by R Talsorian Games. Fans will be able to start exploring the city at Origins 2026 on June 17th, with the 300+ page tome of lore, gangs, maps, and more, then entering distribution later that month.

Night City is a freeport and independent city, which is part of the Free State of Northern California, and acts as the primary location in both the tabletop RPG as well as CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 video game. Night City 2045 takes us on a comprehensive trip around the city. Its history, weather, travel options (everything from public transport and taxi services to getting to the city by car, air, rail, and sea), Night City Media (TV, radio, pirate stations, etc), gangs and criminal organisations, bars, casinos, housing, and so much more.

Night City’s districts make up the bulk of the book. Each district begins with an introduction about the city manager, population, security provider, and recent history, before moving onto specific locations, each with a Security Code. Districts end with short biographies of interesting personalities important to the district and stat blocks of archetypical character types you might encounter there. Districts include such areas as Little Europe, Upper Marina, Downtown, The Hot Zone, Little China, University District and the NorCal Military Base. In all 26 districts are detailed.

The book sounds like it’ll be a vital resource for any Cyberpunk RED game, or as a great read for everyone who likes the computer game or the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners animated series.

The reprint of the Cyberpunk RED Core Rulebook is also expected in R. Talsorians warehouse mid-April so we should start seeing that back on store shelves in late April/early May.
