Cubicle 7 have previewed their forthcoming Adeptus Mechanicus Guides for Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Imperium Maledictum.
Fans of Warhammer 40,000 lore will no doubt be familiar with not only the Macharian Sector, but also the Adeptus Mechanicus and their Quest for Knowledge. Now the Adeptus Mechanicus Player’s Guide lets players introduce Tech-Adept characters into their campaigns and scenarios and, in doing so, ‘wield the mysterious and devastating arsenal of the Priesthood of Mars’. Whether outfitting your characters with augmentations or navigating the rites and rituals of Binharic worship, every choice moves those characters closer to the Omnissiah’s favour … or towards tech-heresy.
The Game Masters Guide, meanwhile, give GMs ‘the tools to orchestrate sector-spanning campaigns’, and experience adventures ‘that span decades’. In doing so, those GMs can also introduce their players to ‘new allies [and] formidable enemies’ and lace their scenarios and campaigns with archaic technologies hidden in buried vaults. Or, if that doesn’t flick your switch, how about inviting players to ‘explore the Ark Mechanicus Recollections of Rust,; the choice is yours!
Whilst both of these books can be purchased separately, the completists amongst you will want to grab a copy of the Collector’s Edition; this gem ‘unites both guides within a protective slipcase’ and sports a ‘limited edition covers’.
See the Cubicle 7 website for more details.

The Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) awards were first created in 1978, celebrating the best in board and card game design. Even being nominated for the award can bring in a massive sales boost for the games, with the winner often selling 500,000+ copies. It is one of the few awards in the games industry that has a major effect on sales and exposure. The awards, and nominations, are usually covered in the mainstream news in Germany.
