Shape a New WRLD with Wyrd Games New Wooden Cube Strategy Game

Wyrd Games have opened pre-orders for WRLD, a quick play strategy game built around 27 wooden cubes. Players reshape a shared landscape, but only score for the side of the world that is facing their side of the table.

On a turn players have a number of actions. Take cubes from the old landscape, drop them into the new one, tilt or moves cubes already in play.

There are six different cnvironment tupes of cubes - Forest, Ocean, Cave, Desert, Lava and Tundra - amd each can only be scored once per game. Players can score at the end of a turn or wait for a better opportuniyt, but then risk that someone else changing their view. The player with the highest total at the end wins.

Every player is viewing the landscape from a different direction, so a move that may improve one players view may block or disrupt anothers. The game is pretty quick, only taking around 20 minutes to play, and can be played by two of four players either individually or as a two-versus-two team mode. It is suitable for ages 8+.

The box for WRLD is also part of the play experience. It unfolds to become the game’s grid board, with player atlases around the sides. The landscape built during one game then becomes the starting “old WRLD” for the next.

Wyrd Games are currently running pre-orders on their webstore which include a pre-order 20% discount, with the game priced at $47.20 and shipping to be charged nearer the time of dispatch. Orders placed by 1st November 2026 will also include a special edition Lantern Cube while supplies last. Other special edition cubes will be appearing at future events. Wyrd hope to start shipping pre-orders out in late November/early December.
