Homestar Runner Returns to the Tabletop with Crime Scene Tamperer

Anyone who spent too much time online in the early 2000s might want to dust off their boxing gloves and start practising their Strong Bad impressions, or recall the lyrics to TROGDOR, the BURNINATOR! (… ah the memories…) because Homestar Runner is heading back to the tabletop with a new gaming coming from Greater Than Games.

Crime Scene Tamperer: The Party Game for Guilty Parties! is a new game from Homestar Runner creators Mike and Matt Chapman. Players become spectacularly incompetent criminals in Brainblow City who have been caught red-handed. Fortunately, private eye/crooked cop Dangeresque is busy monologuing, giving everyone just enough time to rearrange the evidence and make somebody else look guilty.

Played across three crime scenes, everyone tries to manipulate the evidence while collecting as few Guilty tokens as possible. At the end, whoever looks least responsible walks free. Designed for 2-4 players, ages 14+, the game takes around 20-40 minutes to play. Greater Than Games currently have the game available on pre-order and it should release this summer.

This isn’t the first time Homestar Runner have turned to tabletop gaming. Back in 2018 a Kickstarter for Trogdor!! The Board Game raised $1.42 million from 23,338 backers, and subsequently made it’s way in to game stores. Trogdor!! The Board Game was a cooperative game which saw the players collectively controlling Trogdor and attempting to burninate the countryside, sottages, and unfortunate peasants before the local knights put an end to his rampage.
