Free League Publishing have announced a new partnership with Tania Herrero (Crown of Salt, Menagerie of Unbearable Things) and Johan Nohr (Mork Borg) for the Fomoria RPG - an epic game of folk horror hitting Kickstarter on 7th April.
Created, written, and illustrated by Tania Herrero, with Johan Nohr on graphic design duties, Fomoria is a dark, weird and inhospitable subterranean world where the Sun is a myth and the “False Stars” of the earth’s roof offer the only light. Powered by a modified Mork Borg engine, players take on the role of the Folk - children of the lost Surface - navigating a living, breathing labyrinth of shifting tunnels known as the Strata.
Maps are lies, memories betray and familiar paths twist. The Strata breathes, shifts, and dreams in stygian shades - a colossal sleeper stirring and reshaping its own flesh.

Player characters are united in a cabal, a small group drawn from different clans, bound together by duty or necessity. You hunt the Eldritch, purge the Red Plague, face the horrors of the insidious Darkness and serve the whims of the powerful. You will descend into tunnels that shift, eat and lie, negotiate with beings that called this place home long before the Folk’s descent, and navigate the factions between your clans.
An early version of the game is available to download as a Fomoria Quickstart. You can also sign up to be notified as soon as the Fomoria kickstarter laucnhes on their campaign pre-launch page.

Dungeons & Dragons has often been the game of choice for shows and now D&D publisher Wizards of the Coast is getting in to the act with a new actual play series called ‘Dungeon Masters’ launching on YouTube on 22nd April.
