Polish Forces come to Early War in Flames Of War

Battlefront are introducing Polish forces to their Early War Flames of War range this coming September. The release sees a host of new box sets, rules, and miniatures coming out - including a limited edition Polish Starter Force and a Limited Edition Armoured Train. Whats more, the rules covering the Polish forces will be available both as a physical release and to download free on their website.

In September 1939, Poland stood alone against two of the most powerful military forces in the world. From the west came the relentless advance of Nazi Germany; from the east, the crushing weight of the Soviet Union. Surrounded, outnumbered, and betrayed by circumstance, the soldiers of Poland faced impossible odds with unshaken courage across burning cities, shattered forests, and open plains.

Lead the determined Polish forces into battle and relive the desperate opening clashes of the Second World War. Rally brave infantsy companies, unleash fierce cavalry counterattacks, and field the armoured trains, tankettes, and artillery that fought against overhwhelming enemy numbers. Outgunned and outmatched, Polish troops fought with skill, determination, and incredible bravery, striking hard against both German and Soviet invaders. Their courage and sacrifice forged one of the most heroic campaigns of the war.

The Polish First To Fight 48-page rulebook will include all the lists with everything you need to field the Poles in the Early War. The book will be available as a free download from the Battlefront website in September until the release of the Barbarossa book later in the year. Also available as free downloads, again until the future release of Barbarossa, will Command and Unit Card sets. The Batbarossa book, which promises to be a massive book, will feature the Soviets, Germans, Finns, and Poles all in one place and is due for release in November. The physical Polish First To Fight book will also only be available in limited numbers and discontinued when the full Barbarossa book is released.

The Limited Edition Armoured Train set comes with one Locomotive, two Artillery cars, and one Assault car. The set looks really nice, and certainly draws your attention when out on the battlefield.
