A group of halfling miniatures stands on a grassy terrain, showcasing their unique characteristics. In the center, a halfling in ornate armor rides a large, lion-like creature, holding a blue and white banner. To the left, another halfling wields a spear, while a third, dressed in green, brandishes a hammer. A fourth halfling rides a smaller, dog-like creature, completing the ensemble of pint-sized warriors. The background features a soft blue sky with scattered clouds, enhancing the whimsical atmosphere.

Body

It’s a red letter day if you like two-fisted fighting fish men or tiny foodies with big feet.

Now available for pre-order, Mantic’s next wave of Kings of War Trident Realm and Halfling miniatures features a combination of new releases and old favourites in new packaging and ‘updated with new bases / base adapters/ hard plastic multibases’.

The halfling reinforcements feature:

EJ Squadron: described as ‘Fast and agile’, these pint-sized pilots use flying machines and ‘injured drakons […] nursed back to health or repaired with mechanical wings’ to drop bombs on their enemies and conduct scouting missions.

Three halfling pilots with mechanical wings soar above a green and brown landscape, each wearing goggles and flight gear. Below them, a halfling rides a vibrant green drakon, which has colorful wings and a determined expression, while barrels and a wooden cart are positioned nearby. The background features thatched-roof buildings and a stone wall, creating a whimsical, fantasy setting.

War Machines: not only do halflings field multi-barrelled volley guns and howitzers, but also Swamp Belchers. Drakons with a voracious taste for swamp fungus, these rotund reptiles have a fire which ‘permanently smoulders in their bellies’, thus allowing then to belch flames at deserving targets.

A vibrant scene features a large, green drakon belching fire while seated in a wheeled contraption, adorned with a red flag. Surrounding it are halfling figures: one holding a spear, another operating a multi-barreled cannon, and a third preparing to fire a weapon. The backdrop includes rocky terrain and grassy patches, creating a dynamic battlefield atmosphere.

Forest Troll Gunners & Sergeant: these rough and tumble trolls are not only equipped with XL clubs, but they also have platforms strapped to their backs; these are manned by halflings equipped with swivel guns.

A group of four large, green trolls stands in a grassy landscape, each wielding oversized clubs. One troll carries a halfling on its back, who is holding a trumpet, while another troll has a small gunning platform strapped to its back, manned by a halfling with a gun. The background features a rustic setting with thatched-roof buildings and trees under a blue sky with scattered clouds.

Hero Pack: this fantastic foursome of hard-boiled halfling heroes is kitted out with a variety of guns and melee weapons. They’re also late for second breakfast and are really, really hangry.

Muster Captain on Winged Aralez: these diminutive captains make up for their tiny stature by flying into battle on big dogs with even bigger wings.

A halfling captain rides a large, winged creature, adorned in ornate golden armor with a blue cape, holding a sword aloft. The creature has impressive, feathered wings and a lion-like appearance, standing on a rocky terrain with a grassy backdrop. In the distance, a wooden fence and stone walls are visible, adding to the fantasy setting.

Trident Realms players, meanwhile, will soon be able to, ahem, school their enemies with these fishy fighters:

Trident King: apparently there are only three of these monarchs in KoW world, and not one of them is responsible enough to stay away from the frontline.

A detailed miniature scene features a Trident King, a fish-man warrior, standing triumphantly atop a vibrant coral base, wielding a trident. He is flanked by two smaller sea creatures, with colorful scales and fins, set against a backdrop of sandy beach and palm trees. The ocean waves lap at the shore, adding to the dynamic coastal environment.

Kraken: this really big dude can crush even the largest warships ‘into nothing but matchwood and flotsam’.

A large, menacing Kraken stands on a sandy beach, its numerous tentacles curling and twisting around its body. The creature features a dark, textured skin with shades of green and blue, and a central maw filled with sharp teeth, giving it a fearsome appearance. In the background, palm trees and a clear blue sky enhance the tropical setting, while the ocean waves lap at the shore.

Coral Giant: knocked together ‘from the living creatures of the sea’, coral giants can also crush even the largest warships ‘into nothing but matchwood and flotsam’.

A colorful coral giant stands prominently in a coastal scene, adorned with various sea creatures like starfish and shells, showcasing a vibrant mix of greens, blues, and purples. The giant is positioned on a rocky outcrop near the water's edge, with a sandy beach and palm trees visible in the background. The overall setting conveys a fantastical marine environment, emphasizing the giant's unique design and connection to the ocean.

War Machines: designed to ‘stave off the biggest ocean wyrms’, Trident Realm war machines can crush even the largest warsh … well, you get the idea.

A vibrant scene depicts a large, red amphibious creature, ridden by a small green figure, set against a sandy beach with palm trees and a blue ocean in the background. To the right, two fish-like warriors wielding spears stand beside a skeletal structure resembling a fish, adding to the fantastical atmosphere. The overall setting combines elements of a tropical environment with whimsical characters, highlighting the playful nature of the miniatures.

These miniatures will be released in January of 2026.
