Embark on Your Pathfinder Quest with Paizo

Paizo has launched its new Pathfinder Quest crowdfunding campaign..

Now live on Backerkit, Pathfinder Quest is ‘a cooperative adventure board game for 1–4 players’ Pathfinder Quest is ‘Designed to bridge the gap between quick, randomized dungeon crawlers and sprawling, prep-heavy delves’. It also offers players the option to either create their own characters or to use one of the ‘prebuilt heroes’ included in the game.

Pathfinder Quest includes a full campaign stretched across a dozen adventures, none of which require a GM. It also boasts not only ‘a rich narrative that rewards teamwork’, but also ‘an introduction that swiftly teaches the rules as you play’. The adventures included in this core set also combine into a an ongoing narrative in which the players’ choices and actions have ramifications ‘on the entire multisession campaign’.

Characters will level-up after each game, thus gaining access to new spells, equipment and abilities. Of course, a fantasy game wouldn’t be a fantasy game without loot and magical treasure, both of which abound in Pathfinder Quest.

The Pathfinder Quest Backerkit campaign includes both Standard and Deluxe Edition versions of the game, with the latter only being available via this campaign.

Needless to say, the core game is stuffed with miniatures, including adventurers, creatures and even a Time Dragon! A wealth of additional miniatures are also available as add-ons and in various pledges.
