Games Workshop have blessed us with a bevy of new pre-orders.
Revealed today on the Warhammer website, this new tranche of tantalising treats includes offerings from various Games Workshop ranges, including Age of Sigmar, Necromunda and Warhammer 40,000.
Kicking off with Sigmarland, the Helsmiths of Hashut are an ‘entirely new faction of spiteful duardin’. With their combination of massive hats and ‘distinctive daemon-powered weapons’, these neo-dwarves are here to kick shins and take names. Their new Helsmiths of Hashut Army Set includes a War Despot, an Infernal Cohort with Hashutite Spears, a Dominator Engine and a Tormentor Bombard. It can serve as either the core of bigger army or played as a Helforge Host in games of Spearhead.
The Deathrattle Tomb Host, meanwhile, is composed of two units of 10 Deathrattle Skeletons, 10 Barrow Guard, and five Barrow Knights, all led by a powerful Wight King. Although this Spearhead has a higher model count than ‘almost every other Spearhead around’, nearly all the combatants therein can be reanimated and returned to combat, thus making them a very difficult force to overcome.
The duardin and skeletons are not the only new Sigmar army set to look forward to. Riding into combat on their wargs, the Snarlpack Huntaz are ‘an extremely mobile force’ of three Snarlpack Cavalry and two Sunsteala Wheelas; these are led by a Snarlboss and his Wolfgit Retinue.
Meanwhile, on Necromunda, it’s time for a little law and order. The Palanite Enforcer Captains & Sergeants set includes two Captains, two Sergeants, two Subjugator Sergeants, and two Hardcase Cyber-mastiffs. Should you ever get around to painting these grimdark gendarmes, you can also buy a sheet of 220 transfers.
The squad can be further enhanced with additional sets of Palanite Enforcer Haunts and Palanite Companions.
If, like me, you’re all about the nostalgia, you’re bound to be tempted by this trio of old school Space Wolves.
