Space Forbans Kickstarter Ends This Week

Five colorful 3D-printed miniatures stand in a row, each depicting unique characters from a sci-fi theme. From left to right, they include a blue-skinned figure with a skull face, a green-clad character with a beard, an orange-suited figure holding a weapon, a blue and gray character aiming a gun, and a yellow-clad figure. Above them, the title "SPACE FORBAND" is displayed prominently, along with the text "STL and 3D printed miniatures" below.

The Kickstarter for Space Forbans* ends this week.

This latest campaign by Lafig Miniatures showcases a new range of sci-fi figures. These miniatures include a host of pirates, freebooters and other nefarious individuals who you really wouldn’t want to cross paths with. The core offering includes 25 miniatures, with more available as add-ons and stretch goals; these stretch goals—which include an additional selection of spacefaring miscreants—have already been unlocked.

Four colorful tabletop miniatures are displayed on circular bases with grassy textures. The characters include a cowboy with a hat and a revolver, a bearded man in a red and blue outfit holding a futuristic weapon, a man in a green outfit with a red cap and a pistol, and an older man in a purple robe with a gun. Each figure is intricately detailed, showcasing vibrant colors and distinct poses.

The figures in this campaign are available as either STLs or 3D-printed miniatures.

Space Forbans is the twenty-second Kickstarter campaign by LaFig Miniatures. A French concern, they specialise in miniatures with a distinctly oldhammer style, with their sci-fi range being particularly redolent of Warhammer 40k’s so-called ‘Rogue Trader’ era. Miniatures from their previous campaigns can also be added to your Space Forbans pledge.

Five detailed miniatures are displayed on circular bases with grassy textures. The characters include a bearded figure in a green jacket holding a rifle, a cloaked figure with a staff, a humanoid with a colorful costume and a pistol, a character in an orange jumpsuit wielding a blaster, and a figure in blue attire. Each miniature showcases intricate paintwork, highlighting their unique features and poses.

This campaign ends on Saturday, January 24th at 1:43 PM UTC.

See the Space Forbans Kickstarter campaign for more details.

*If, like me, you’d never heard of the term ‘forban’ before, it’s defined by Wiktionary as a ‘a pirate […] or an individu sans scrupules’. You learn something every day, right?

Bluesky

Lafig Miniatures Space Forbans Kickstarter wrapped last week. 22nd(!) campaign, still channelling pre-grimdark Rogue Trader when space pirates looked like 2000AD nightclub refugees. Forbans, were pirates that were too piratey for other pirates... #Scifi #Grimdark #oldhammer
