Do you love mechs? Would you like to be able to print and play with mechs that you’ve designed? Then you’re in luck…

Coming soon to Gamefound, Mythic Mechs promises to be a, ahem, Mecca for fans of Battletech and other big stompy mech games such as Steel Rift, Flames of Orion and Ferrous. The portal has been created specifically to allow fans of mechs to build their own ’epic designs using no-limits customization software and an arsenal of parts and weapons’ Once designed, these mechs can either be downloaded and printed at home or shipped ‘directly to your door’.

Described as ‘the world's first web app for creating your own mech miniatures’, Mythic Mechs is the brainchild of TitanCraft co-creator, Jared Huss.

“I've always been interested in mechs and sci-fi in general,” said Jared when I asked him what had inspired this latest project, “and I felt that the sci-fi genre in the tabletop scene needed some TLC. Fantasy options have exploded in recent years, thanks to the increased accessibility of 3D modelling software and affordable 3D printers, but sci-fi, in my opinion, has been a bit overlooked.

“Thanks to my professional experience developing TitanCraft, I was in a unique position to create a platform like Mythic Mechs. After a couple of years of tossing ideas around, I finally told myself, ‘it's now or never.’ And here we are!”
