Flytrap's New OUTPOST Campaign Now Live on Kickstarter

The latest Kickstarter from Flytrap is now alive and kicking.

Entitled OUTPOST, this new campaign offers a swathe of new sci-fi miniatures. Sculpted by Flytrap creator and owner Anton Ducrot, these models are dripping with character and detail. They include infantry and a vehicle as featured in Flytrap's homegrown OUTPOST narrative; these include infantry and a vehicle from both sides of the OUTPOST setting: CLUTCH (Critical Locator Unit Tactical Containment and Haulback) and their opposition, the Necrobog*.

Designed for rapid-response planetfall insertions, CLUTCH units are elites sent in where 'failure is expected and survival is unlikely'. Deployed in four to six man teams, a CLUTCH unit is 'dropped fast, low and hard,' before 'establishing dropzone control, restoring operational sector integrity or [...] pulling the plug.'

Two detailed 3D models of sci-fi vehicles from the CLUTCH faction are displayed against a textured gray background. The top model features a compact design with various mechanical components and a prominent turret, while the bottom model has a more rounded shape with multiple attachments and a cockpit-like structure. Text at the bottom indicates that stretch goals have been unlocked at 4K and 5K NZD, with additional stretch goals planned.

The Necrobog, meanwhile, are described as 'the disastrous legacy of a failed military experiment [...] to fuse fallen soldiers with cybernetics in a bid to create reanimated super-soldiers.' These 'grotesque constructs' come in two varieties: Necrotic Synths and Necrotroopers. The former are described as 'Massive, mangled amalgamations of flesh, steel, and rage,' that are 'nearly indestructible and immune to reason.' Necrotroopers, meanwhile, are a 'rogue faction' with unknown objectives' which poses a 'growing and constant threat.'

A collection of sci-fi miniatures is displayed, featuring two distinct groups: the CLUTCH units and the Necrotroopers. The top row showcases six detailed CLUTCH infantry models, equipped with various weapons and armor, while the bottom row presents eight Necrotrooper figures, characterized by their bulky, armored designs. The background is a textured gray, and pricing information is prominently displayed in bold text at the bottom.

This campaign features not only 15 CLUTCH miniatures and 13 Necrobog, but also a 'rules-lite, example heavy [...] tactical-narrative' system known as 'Sandbox'. This system is driven by a set of bespoke tools, templates and dice, the STLs for which as also included in this campaign.
