It’s a Bleating Nightmare : Survive Mutant Sheep in This Chaotic Co-op

A board game box titled "The Sheep" features a menacing sheep holding a lantern, set against a dark, eerie forest backdrop. The title is prominently displayed in gold lettering, with the tagline "DON'T LET THEM CATCH YOU SLEEPING" beneath it. The overall color scheme is dark, with shades of blue and green, enhancing the horror-comedy theme of the game.

Darkness falls, and you prepare for another night of horror. The Sheep are coming, and you must stop them at all costs…

I fell in love with the idea of this game when I first heard about it last year on the run up to it’s successful Kickstartercampaign. Apparently I wasn’t the only one as the game funded in 20 minutes and went on to raise over $500,000. Now, with Kickstarter backers sated, the game is about to hit retail stores next week on general release.

The game?

The Sheep.

A tabletop game setup for

During the day, the sheep are normal and friendly. At night, they transform into bloodthirsty monsters. Each night spawns a new terror the Shepherds must face.

The Sheep is a cooperative comedy-horror game for 2-4 players from Zero Strategy Games. Each player takes on the role of a Shepherd, mercenaries hired to protect caravans as they travel across the wilderness. Throughout the game, Shepherds will purchase new equipment, level up their character, and gain powerful curses to keep the hordes of mutant sheep at bay. If all caravans make it to the next town, the players win the game.
