Cozy roleplaying games have been becoming quite popular over the last couple of years. We’ve had witches opening magical cafes in Pumpkin Spice, travelling animals exploring in Wanderhome, or retired adventures settling down to run a tavern in Stewpot, to name just three. The latest game to join them is Precious Things from Wet Ink Games which sees you play tiny dragons who hoard mundane objects and protect the home they live whilst keeping themselves secret.
Cozy roleplaying games generally have low-stakes and focus more on collaborative storytelling focused on relaxtion, comfort, community and heartywarming themes with minimal, or no, combat and threats. They offer a safe, stress-free, alternative to the usual heroic fantasy, cosmic horror, or interplanetary warfare.

Precious Things puts you inside the scales of a small dragon with a hoard of mundane objects like buttons, paperclips, dried flowers, or even dice. This hoard powers a single spell - the last of your inheritance as a creature of magic. Together with your flight of other dragons, you will protect your homes, search for more hoard treasures, and keep yourselces secret from those who would exploit the last magic in the world.
The game is powered by the +One System, which uses D6 dice pools for skills rolls and a deck of playing cards for individual and “big” magic.

Precious Things is a family-friendly roleplaying game, punctuated by moments of danger. The book includes a history of dragons, 52 different magic spells, threats magical and mundane, a full adventure, and notes on how to adapt your dragons and setting to several literary genres including regency drama and noir.
Precious Things just launched on Kickstarter and runs until the 25th Apirl. You can find more information, or back the campaign, here.
