Modiphius Takes Discworld Beyond Ankh-Morpork With New Gamefound Campaign

Modiphius Entertainment is heading back to the Disc for a second major roleplaying game campaign, with Discworld: Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald due to launch on Gamefound in October.

The new release follows Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork, which raised almost £2.5 million on Kickstarter in 2025, but this time Modiphius is taking players well beyond city walls, as well as moving crowdfunding platforms.

Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald will explore Lancre, the Ramtops, Uberwald, and the Chalk, drawing heavily on Terry Pratchett’s witches and supernatural inhabitants of the Disc.

Players will be able to create characters including witches, vampires, trolls, and werewolves, while familiar faces and places will include Granny Weatherwax, the Ogg clan, and Don’tgonearthe Castle.

Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald is not just a supplement for the existing Discworld RPG, but will be a standalone core book complete with rules, meaning players won’t need to own the earlier book to be able to make use and play this one.

The Gamefound campaign is expected to offer a standard and collector’s edition of the hardcover rules, as well as an adventure book, GM Toolkit, supplements and dice. The new game will also be introduing full rules for ongoing campaigns, while one of the other books will be full of linked adventures taking thge group on a tour through the Ramtops.

Modiphius are also going to be expanding the rules themselves, with additional guidance for inexperienced players and gamemasters, expanded handling of complex challenges, and new risks associated with taking multiple consequences. The additional examples and explanations are intended to make this the most accessible entry point for both Discworld newcomers as well as for people who have never played a tabletop roleplaying game before.

Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald is not the only Discworld product on its way from Modiphius. Kill Sam Vines is a light board game about the hazardous business of attempting to assassinate the commander of the City Watch, and Readers Digested sees players take on roles as Assistant Librarians trying to restore order in the Unseen University Library, and is a Dsicworld version of Reiner Knizia’s Blue Moon board game.
