(Crowdfund Quest) The Adventure Guide: Secrets of Enduril

Crowdfund Quest is a daily column that takes us on an expedition into tabletop crowdfunding with a look at a current project in the tabletop gaming world.

Emberglow Gaming have created a perfect way for families, and first time Game Masters, to play and learn Dungeons & Dragons with The Adventure Guide: Secrets of Enduril. The GM will need a few minutes to read the GM only quick introduction and Story Lore section and then players can dive straight into the world of character creation and the adventure. The adventure is divided into bite-sized modules designed to help the GM and players (of any ge) to learn to play.

The Adventure Guide: Secrets of Enduril is a learn-as-you-play Dungeons & Dragons starter set designed by educators for kids ages 5-14 (and beyond) with segmented, adaptable chapters to suit player attention span and play style preference.

This isn’t just a dumbed down Dungeon crawl (as muchas we love those!). We take the complex mechanics of D&D 5E and make them easier to gigest and more intuitive. The adventure story also has narrative depth that will keep both parents and kids engaged and wanting more!

Young heroes will discover a mysterious disturbance and set out to save the kingdom. Along the way, they’ll meet talking animals, work together to solve puzzles, and battle unexpected enemies that stand in their way.

Around the tbale, families learn to listen, collaborate, solve problems, and tell stories as a team. Children discover confidence, creativity, and the courage to face challenges both in the game and beyond it.

As your family grrows, the adventure grows with you. The skills and mechanics introduced throughout the story provide a natural path into the full D&D 5E experience, giving you the tools and confidence to create adventures of your own.

And that’s where the real magic begins.

Beyond Enduril lies an endless world of stories waiting to be told - epic quests, unfortgettable characters, and years of memories created together around the table.

Two of the things that I really like about the game, making it even more kid friendly, is that the book has been built to be split into concise and deliberate chapters, with each chapter containing about 20 minutes of play. So if your kids don’t have a big attention span, or can’t seem to stay sitting still for long, it makes the adventure nice and easy to play in small chunks. Maybe a quick game after dinner, or before bed?

The other thing I like is in-game. Early in their journey the young adventurers will visit the village pet shop where they’ll choose a loyal friend to accompany them on their quest.

Whether brave, curious, mischievous, or cuddly, these adorable companions help children feel even more connected to their heroes and excited for the adventures ahead. After all, every grand adventure is a little less scary, and a lot more fun, when you have a best friend by your side!
