Game Start Studio are into the second half of their latest Kickstarter, Fantasy World Creator: Chronicles.
Described as a ‘world-building forge', Fantasy World Creator: Chronicles' is 'a modular system designed for those who love to create, manage, and experience fantasy campaigns at the table'. This modular mapping system also includes reusable stickers and a 'Master's Codex'; all of these are delivered in a grimdark style.
The Master’s Codex is referred to as ‘the command centre of your fantasy campaigns’. It is a modular book in which your scenario not only evolves, but can also be ‘managed quickly and intuitively’. It uses scaled-down, removable sticker tiles which mirror the system’s tabletop tiles to build all the maps you need for your scenarios.

The Master Codex also features various customisable pages dedicated toward the organisation of your games’ creatures, allies and enemies; these put all the stats, behaviours, equipment and tables you need ‘at your fingertips’.

The real star of the campaign, however, is the modular tile system. GMs and players can use wet and dry-erase markers ‘write, sketch, and mark traps, hidden paths, secret doors, shifting enemies, objectives, and more.’ These allow GMs to reshape their adventure and their encounters in a moment, maintaining the dynamism and spur of the moment creativity of an unfolding adventure.
This campaign ends 3rd July, 2025, at 9:59 PM BST. See the Kickstarter page for more details.
