There’s a new mission deck coming to Warhammer 40k, and Games Workshop have given us a sneak peak.
Revealed today on the Games Workshop website, this new deck contains ‘missions, maps, and more’. It also contains ‘three ways to play matched games of Warhammer 40,000’, with these including Incursion, Strike Force, and Asymmetric War. It also includes deployment maps which offer a ‘better balance’ for 1,000-point Incursion matches; such matches also have new rules and unit restrictions. Optional rules for Asymmetric War will also present players with ‘ever-changing strategic challenges’. Other cards also varying deployment maps and objective placements, as well as inspirations for new and exciting battlefields.

The deck introduces another big change in the form of the new Challenger system; this replaces the Secret Missions from the Pariah Nexus mission deck. This new, shared deck offers ways for losing players to catch up with a variety of Stratagems or extra missions.
See the Games Workshop website for a more thorough reprise.
