Shadowrun is making a comeback, and this time it’s going to be downright unruly.

Catalyst Game Labs and Black Book Editions have joined forces to create Shadowrun: Anarchy 2.0. Described as ‘the rules-light alternative core book for the legendary Shadowrun roleplaying game’, this new edition promises to build upon Shadowrun’s ‘rich legacy of cyberpunk-fantasy storytelling, while making the game more accessible than ever’.

This new edition will blend Shadowrun’s ‘cyberpunk grit and arcane mysticism’ with a ‘fast, cinematic approach […] ideal for newcomers or those who prefer narrative-first gameplay’. It will also continue the franchise’s ‘beloved setting and rich character creation’ while sporting new, streamlined rules designed to focus on roleplaying and action.

This new edition is ‘specifically designed to welcome new runners to the table, including those unfamiliar with decades of Shadowrun metaplot’. So, whether or not you’re new to the franchise, a returning player, or you’ve always wanted to play Shadowrun, then Anarchy 2.0 is the one for you.
