RPG PDF Spotlights is our daily look at a recent release for a new tabletop roleplaying game, supplement or scenario, or solo journaling game, that has caught my eye. This isn’t a review, although I hope we can start offering reviews in addition to our news coverage in the future, more of a “hey guys, check this out!” shoutout.

Mothership Supplement by Burning Light Press

Inspired by life-story systems found in many classic TTRPGs, this supplement aims to quickly and enjoyably provide greater 
depth to a character’s backstory, offering mechanical and narrative boons and banes through the random chaos of rolling dice.

Arising from key points in a character’s past, the player holds the power to choose what path is tread, but the dice hold their fate. 
Life-Paths are also designed to inspire the player and GM in fleshing out their character’s story, 
with the narrative of events (and outcomes) easily expanded upon. 

Life-Paths can be run before or after the rest of a character’s creation. The supplement is designed to be easily implemented, 
with a path taken, an event chosen, dice rolled, and the results given; perks or penalties depending on luck and fate.

This supplement covers the four Core Classes in Mothership: Marine, Scientist, Teamster, & Android
With five background concepts designed for each class.
