Bandai challenge you to go for your Gundam!
The Gundam Card Game brings the famous animated series—and, of course, those glorious mobile suits—to the tabletop. Players can begin their new careers as Gundam pilots with one of three starter sets, each of which include a pre-constructed deck and other essential items. Fans of franchise will also be thrilled to learn the cardgame can be played using tiny versions of the famous Gundam kits*!
Due for their UK release tomorrow, these new decks include Flash of Radiance, Dual Impact and Steel Requiem. Each of these sets include various Gundam and their respective pilots.
For the uninitiated, the Gundam franchise was launched in 1979 with the Mobile Suit Gundam animated series. Said series features battles between towering mobile suits (very much like Battletech mechs) and invading aliens in similar suits. Those suits inspired a raft of impressive model kits, which are collectively known as Gunpla. Smaller version of these Gunpla are available to use with the Gundam Card Game; these will be available soon from the Gundam Assemble website.
See the Gundam GCG website for more details.
*The first of these will be available in the forthcoming Gundam Assemble sets; these are due for release at the end of February.
